Site Privacy

TextShelf provides secure online submissions management services. We make it easy to create private inboxes for document submission, sharing, and reviewing among authorized reviewers. TextShelf LLC is located in Washington, DC.

We only collect information needed to maintain your TextShelf account.

We just need an email address for each person who signs up for a TextShelf account.

Content (e.g., files, documents, images, text) that users upload to TextShelf is stored for the duration of a submission process, and deleted by contest organizers after completion of a submission process.

Information related to payment is handled by Stripe, a financial service company. TextShelf does not collect or store credit card information.

Who sees your information?

TextShelf will never sell, rent or lease your email address or any content you upload to any third party.

The owner and organizers of each TextShelf inbox can access the names, email addresses, and uploaded files of entrants submitting material to their specific inbox. For example, if you enter a play for a playwriting contest using TextShelf, the organizers of that contest will be able to see your address and contact you with that address.

You don't like emails?

We're not in the spam business, but TextShelf users may opt out of email communications by clicking 'Unsubscribe' in any email communication from TextShelf.

How do we protect your uploaded files?

Documents submitted to TextShelf are locked in private, secure electronic storage located in the United States. TextShelf servers are also located in the United States.

Documents submitted to TextShelf can only be accessed by program managers, reviewers they authorize, and TextShelf administrators when granted permission—for example, to help troubleshoot technical issues. When organizers declare that a review process is complete, all submitted documents and related personal information are permanently deleted.

Can TextShelf guarantee against unauthorized access to my content?

No. TextShelf follows recommended security practices to protect user information. Inbox owners, organizers and reviewers must also take care to manage passwords and delete all accessed files.

TextShelf is not intended for children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not provide any information on this Website.

Do we share personal information with third parties?

Does TextShelf use cookies or tracking technologies?

Cookies on TextShelf are used to deliver user requested services only. TextShelf does not track you or pass cookies to third parties such as advertisers.

Please note that account deletion will also delete any entries or applications, and TextShelf and any entered submissions processes will no longer have your contact information.
